Business Development Coordinator

Reports to: Business Development Manager-Litigation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The person in this position will support the Business Development Manager-Litigation with a variety of marketing, business development, and promotional activities for the Litigation and Corporate Departments.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining matter databases and recording updates for precedent, marketing, and business development purposes
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly reports for litigation department, including new matters, press, case results and business development activity
- Coordinating the scheduling and submission of numerous legal directories, awards and related industry guides (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation)
- Updating print and digital marketing materials to ensure content reflects the substantive strengths, accomplishments and current activities of the firm and the various litigation practice groups
- Researching existing and prospective clients, competitor activity and market trends / opportunities
- Assisting with content development for presentations, proposals, and pitch materials
Qualifications/Position Requirements
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required
Education and/or Experience
Two years of experience in a business development or marketing role in a professional services environment (law-firm specific background, particularly on the litigation side, is a plus)
- Experience with InterAction or another CRM program preferred
- Experience with legal-research and legal-news databases and resources (e.g., Capital IQ, Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, Monitor Suite, Courthouse News Service, Thomson Reuters, PACER, Law360) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
