Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator-Temp

A leading, global, law firm currently has an opening for a Temp Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator in their New York office. The Temp Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator supports and advances the diversity programs of the firm through a variety of projects.
In this capacity, the Temp Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator will:
- Work with Manager of Diversity & Inclusion and diversity affinity groups on annual business plans, budget requests and programs as needed;
- Coordinate cross-office cultural programs and speaker events;
- Collect, draft and publish communications about the firm’s diversity efforts on our internal portal, external diversity website, and social media;
- Assist in creating and updating diversity marketing materials and annual reports;
- Create PowerPoint presentations;
- Work with external organizations on sponsorships, events and other diversity programs as directed by Manager of Diversity & Inclusion;
- Schedule and attend Committee meetings, detail minutes and outcomes, help team stay on track with agreed-upon deliverables;
- Provide general administrative support to the department; maintain team and Global Diversity calendars, assist with budget tracking;
- Provide general event support at firm-sponsored and external events;
- Assist with diversity surveys and client requests; and
- Handle additional related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Seeking candidates who have:
- Strong interest in diversity and inclusion;
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Business or related field (preferred);
- 3+ years’ of experience in a corporate setting, (professional services or legal environment preferred);
- Fundamental to Advanced proficiency in rules of English grammar, spelling and punctuation;
- Fundamental to Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and spreadsheet/database applications;
- Fundamental to Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint and presentation applications;
- Fundamental proficiency in MS Word, and document editing/comparison applications;
- Fundamental proficiency in MS Outlook and web-based conference call/web-sharing applications; and
- Fundamental proficiency in the operation of office equipment, such as copiers, scanners.
