Docket Analyst

Premier, global, law firm is seeking an experienced Docket Analyst to be located in their Washington, DC office. Under the general supervision of the Firmwide Docket Manager, the Docket Analyst is primarily responsible for firmwide docketing and calendar support and occasional court filing support. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, input, changes and deletions of all calendar data for Firmwide departments; generation and distribution of scheduled and ad hoc case, departmental and individual reports; maintenance of calendar database integrity and software program via audit reports, periodic updates, etc.; establishment and maintenance of calendar requests; report, update and add/transfer files for errors and omissions auditing purposes; addition and deletion of employees as part of database maintenance; assist Firmwide Docket Manager with docketing and calendar training and workshops; research of all local, state, federal and administrative rules; creation of timelines based on local, state, federal and administrative rules; weekly distribution of Time Summary Reports to practice group Heads; provide primary back-up support to Calendar Assistant and Managing Clerk; assist in occasional court filings; drop off or retrieve court documents from local courts and/or administrative office.

Successful candidates should have familiarity with the docketing and rules based calendaring process and litigation research knowledge. At least 3 years of litigation procedures, civil procedures and rules based calendar reporting experience.  College degree, expertise with complex database applications, experience working in a law firm and intellectual property experience preferred. Outstanding communication, problem-solving skills and availability to work overtime as needed necessary in this position.
