Floater Legal Secretary

Day Shift 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming administrative tasks.
  • Answering and screening telephone calls for attorneys.
  • Document production and editing utilizing: Windows7, Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, Nuance PDF Converter, Best Authority, Elite Webview, CompareDocs, and similar software.
  • Big Hand Dictation
  • Assist with document conversion and clean up; create and revise complex legal documents adhering to Firm styles and guidelines.
  • E-filing
  • Create and edit Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents using Legal MacPac.
  • Entering Attorney time in Webview.
  • Fill out expense reports.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and sorting incoming mail, prepare express delivery packages.
  • Perform day to day duties of department secretary when requested or required by department operations.
  • May be assigned coverage of a particular secretarial absence.

Skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of multiple software: Microsoft Office 2010, DM System, Windows 7
  • Ability to multi task
  • Strong Secretarial Organizational Skills

  • Ability to make independent judgments
