Assistant of Business Development-Corporate

Summary

The Assistant of Business Development-Corporate provides support to the Manager of Business Development-Corporate and assists with a variety of marketing and business development activities for various transactional groups including Capital Markets, Finance and Restructuring. Responsibilities include updating and maintaining key information systems (including the matters database, the business development pitch database, the client relationship management system, as well as the Firm website and Intranet), assisting with the production of pitches/presentations and directory submissions, assisting with various client and business development initiatives, supporting internal and external research collection, and assisting with other special projects as requested. 

Relationships

Reports to the Manager of Business Development-Corporate and works closely with all members of the Business Development team. This position also regularly involves activities and projects which involve non-marketing personnel, across offices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains experience databases and coordinates matter collection for various transactional practices.
  • Assists with preparing experience lists, practice descriptions, bios and other print and digital materials and actively maintains the collective library.
  • Updates practice relevant website and intranet resources.
  • Assists in updating and organizing the Firm’s client relationship management system (Business Book) and business development calendars for assigned practices.
  • Supports team efforts for directory submissions, league tables, awards and other visibility initiatives.
  • Assists in coordinating and formatting RFP and proposals, tracking materials and their outcome.
  • Assists Manager and events team in executing sponsorships, conferences, speaking opportunities and events
  • Supports advancement of practice and individual partner plans through tracking, internal/external research and various special projects as assigned.
  • Provides special project support to the Manager of Business Development – Corporate and other members of the Business Development team, as assigned or needed. 

Specifications

Education:  A 4-year college Degree is required.

Experience:  At least 2 years of prior experience in a professional environment preferred.

Technological Skills:  Proficiency with various software programs such as MS Office Suite, InterAction (Business Book), and Internet usage.  Database skills preferred.
