Overview
The Graphic Designer will design, revise, and produce internal and external print and digital materials to enhance the effectiveness of the Firm’s business activities and client development.
Responsibilities
Providing design support to the Senior Manager of Creative Design; producing printed and electronic materials including, but not limited to, the Firm’s branding, brochures, invitations, newsletters, presentations, publications, signage, tribute ads, pro bono projects and photo editing; researching and developing gift/promotional items for clients, recruiting and Firm events; acting as a liaison with photographers, printers, apparel and other vendors; organizing and maintaining project files online; and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BFA or BGD from a NASAD accredited institution required; design internships, work/study program experience or employment in design firm(s) preferred; extensive knowledge and operation of PC design software programs such as QuarkXpress and Adobe Create Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); ability to use and operate scanners; familiarity with web-based design and other high tech media; understanding and proficiency in the use of typography, layout/composition and image manipulation for outstanding graphic design impact and effective visual communication; ability to work within design standards/guidelines; familiarity with technological aspects of design when dealing with vendors; ability to specify and coordinate production of printed matter; ability to create precise mock-ups and clear project presentations; knowledge of HTML, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint a plus; ability to work in highly demanding, professional environment; ability to provide creative input and alternate concepts to improve products and processes; ability to take initiative and motivate oneself; ability to interact with individuals at all levels; and willingness to work additional hours necessary to accommodate workflow and to meet deadlines.
