HR/Benefits Coordinator

M-F, 930am-530pm
Summary
Provides clerical and administrative support to the HRIS/Payroll and Benefits team and assists with daily HR operations. Fulfills general and administrative office duties as needed. Works on projects as assigned.
Relationships
Reports directly to the Manager of HRIS/Compensation/Payroll, the Director of Benefits, and the Head of HR Operations. Works alongside another coordinator and works closely with all Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits staff. Interacts frequently with all directors, managers and administrative and legal staff to provide excellent customer service to the Firm.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities and duties will include but are not limited to the following:
HRIS
- Inputs and maintains employee data into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) ensuring all data is entered accurately and in a timely manner. Including information on hires, terminations, salary and job title changes and leave of absence etc.
- Creates and modifies reports from the HRIS, ensuring all data is accurate and presented in the appropriate way for the end user
- Runs general monthly reports for HRIS, Payroll and Benefits, ensuring reports are produced in line with deadlines
- Supports eTime for new hires and existing staff and provides 1st level support to troubleshoot issues with end users. Creates and/or modifies employee schedules and groups as necessary
- Works on surveys as needed for all legal and administrative staff
- Maintains the integrity of the CID (Contact Information Database) by updating hire, terminations, title changes, ADP number, etc. Ensures all changes are done accurately and in a timely manner
- Assists and participates with special projects and new technology initiatives
- Serves as a back up to the HR/Benefits Coordinator for specific tasks such as the weekly Hire/Term list
Payroll
- Assists the Payroll Analyst in auditing payroll every pay period to include checks of salary changes, department changes, hires, terminations, etc.
- Processes payroll for DC staff with guidance from the Payroll Analyst
- Audits monthly reports against payroll to ensure accuracy
- Serves as a backup to the Payroll Analyst to cover absence
Benefits
- Creates and maintains all orientation packages for new staff and assists the Benefits Analysts in conducting benefits orientation meetings
- Assists the Benefits Analysts in handling various employee benefit programs to include processing benefit enrollment forms for medical/dental plans, COBRA administration and monthly billing process
- Assists the Benefits Analysts with benefits projects such as the annual Health Fair, CPR/AED Certification and quarterly benefits auditing as required
- Responsible for creating new hire employee benefits files and filing incoming materials and documents accurately and timely in the appropriate personnel files
- Coordinates contribution collection efforts for the Firm’s Jeans Day for Charity and works with the Benefits Analysts to coordinate Firm Fit Club
- Maintains all benefits information on the Administrative Employee Extranet website
Specifications
- Education: College degree preferred with major in Human Resources.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of Human Resources, HRIS or Benefits work related experience within professional services preferred.

Technological Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of various software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite but in particular Excel to include vlookups and pivot tables. HRIS experience to include running and creating reports, preferably within an ADP product.
