Professional Development Administrative Assistant

Overview

This individual will assist the Professional Development (PD) team with all administrative tasks relating to associate professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal records pertaining to associate arrivals and departures, leaves and transfers.
  • Assist PD team with preparation of monthly hour’s reports.
  • Organize and help PD team prepare for quarterly staffing meetings.
  • Provide general administrative assistance in connection with the Mentoring Program, including event planning, sending out monthly emails and organizing quarterly mentor meetings.
  • Assist PD team with general administrative projects related to the annual lawyer review processes, including maintaining associate profiles, proofreading and sending reminder emails.
  • Organize and facilitate associate coaching.
  • Organize and facilitate associate trainings.
  • Assist PD team with ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Must be comfortable interfacing with lawyers of all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, client service, and written and verbal communicational skills.
  • Exercises good judgment, has excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive team player.
  • Ability to multi-task among competing demands.
