Law Librarian

Responsibilities
Performs a variety of library tasks, including but not limited to:
- Using print and electronic resources, performs legal and non-legal reference and research services for attorneys and paralegals.
- Performs interlibrary loan and document delivery transactions.
- Processes invoices, incoming mail, new books, and perform other duties as needed.
- Coordinates training for attorneys and paralegals with Lexis & Westlaw representatives.
- Works independently, following established practices and procedures. Coordinates with west coast librarians when necessary.
- Coordinates CLE programs for attorneys, tracks CLE history for attorneys. We are an accredited CLE provider.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and one to two years of recent library experience. Masters in Library Science preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and perform functions requiring a high degree of accuracy and careful attention to detail.
- Strong customer-service orientation and strong self-motivation.
- Capable of working efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Current or prospective Library School students encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience searching electronic databases, Westlaw / Lexis required.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite required (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
- Proficiency searching & exploiting Internet legal & non-legal resources required.
