Marketing Coordinator

Overview
The Marketing Coordinator will support activities relating to the Firm’s marketing initiatives in the New York and Boston offices, including internal and client-facing communications projects, client events and meetings, and the development of marketing materials such as lawyer biographies.
The Marketing Coordinator works with local marketing staff and colleagues throughout the department and is involved in a variety of initiatives, including coordinating and supervising projects.
Responsibilities
- Organizes, executes and supports Firm-sponsored seminars, teleconferences and receptions for clients and prospective clients in New York and Boston.
- Develop appropriate mailing/invitation lists and seek related approvals
- Coordinate all communications relating to events, including drafting invitations, event-related correspondence and follow-up, for both internal and external audiences
- Design event invitations in collaboration with our design team
- Collaborate with marketing manager on all event logistics and oversees/prepares related materials and presentations
- Work with lawyers and marketing manager to identify and leverage event and sponsorship opportunities
- Coordinate and oversee pre-planning and debriefing meetings with stakeholders
- Define and measures event metrics
- Liaises with lawyers to produce and distribute client communications, including new lawyer announcements, invitations, etc.
- Assists in the drafting, editing and maintenance of marketing collateral for the office as needed, including lawyer biographies and office descriptions
- Drafts news items for Firm website, intranet and internal communications
- Helps identify relevant state/regional speaking and other credentialing opportunities for our lawyers, assist in the production of required materials.
- Assists in the planning and execution of marketing initiatives and events that further the Firm’s New York Women in Leadership and Diversity programs
- Works with the InterAction database (contact management system) to document and track all client and prospective client outreach.
- Works with creative team to produce and track promotional and other collateral materials including sponsorships and advertisements.
- Assist in training lawyers and professional staff on LinkedIn and other available marketing related tools
- Works on special projects as requested by Marketing director, department management and lawyers.

Education and/or Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications or marketing.
- Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, communications or event planning.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Demonstrated writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Preferred
- Legal marketing or professional services marketing experience
- Knowledge of InterAction database, Vuture and document management systems
- Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop
