Business Development Coordinator-Litigation

Overview

The Litigation Business Development Coordinator will work with the Litigation Business Development team to create and implement litigation-specific business development and marketing initiatives for the Firm. 

Responsibilities

Conducting research and analysis to help identify new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients; preparing research memos and background briefing books for partners concerning new business targets; responding to requests and inquiries from litigation attorneys regarding business development opportunities and initiatives; monitoring and reporting on news, cases, industry trends and issues impacting current and prospective clients; recording, assisting with drafting, editing and proofreading pitch materials, responses to RFPs and other business development materials; assisting with the planning and execution of Firm business development-related programs and events; maintaining and updating litigation practice text, case descriptions and litigation partner biographies for Firm materials; assisting with case tracking on dockets and in litigation filings; working with the Firm’s departments to maintain and keep litigation partner biographies and practice information on the Firm’s external website current; and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, English or Communications, 2+ years of work experience in a professional environment, preferably in the marketing or legal field; minimum commitment of 2 years to the position is required; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of Lotus Notes preferred; knowledge of litigation practice areas such as general commercial, securities, antitrust, and intellectual property is preferred; strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional editing and proofreading skills; articulate and professional demeanor; extremely detail-oriented; ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments; ability to work well under pressure and complete assignments in an accurate and timely manner; ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise a high standard of judgment and discretion; ability to work well in a team orientated environment; and must be available to work overtime as needed.
