Talent Manager

Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for all Talent Management matters in the office.
Coordinate and manage all aspects of recruiting of summer associates, entry-level attorneys and laterals, legal personnel, professional development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and pro bono. - Implement the Firm’s strategies for developing and advancing all lawyers through effective integration, training, mentoring, career development, pro bono, experiential learning and other development initiatives.
- Monitor emerging trends in peer law firms with regards to all aspects of talent management.
- Serve as advisor to the Director of Legal Personnel, Directors of Lateral Hiring, Director of Entry-Level Hiring, Director of Attorney Communications & Inclusion, and Office Hiring Partner regarding tailoring firm-wide recruiting, development, inclusion and pro bono practices and programs to the needs of the office.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Maintain databases, generate reports and perform other administrative functions as needed.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in a law firm or similar environment required; substantial exposure to recruiting and/or professional development in a law firm preferred. Human Resources experience a plus.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills; ability to work with a team of highly-skilled professionals in situations that require diplomacy and confidentiality; ability to build relationships quickly; detail-oriented; financial and statistical reporting skills; relationship building skills; people and project management skills; ability to effectively multitask.
- Ability to manage people and maintain a good rapport with various personnel at all levels; position requires occasional travel and ability to work late hours to attend Firm events.
