Financial Transactions Paralegal (Bankruptcy Paralegal)

The Opportunity 

Exciting opportunity to learn and work directly with some of the best known attorneys in the industry representing clients engaged in financial transactions, including loans, restructurings, and secondary market trading of commercial loans and other debt assets.  Together, they represent many of the largest players in the marketplace, including numerous investment banks, commercial banks, hedge funds, and asset managers as well as collateralized loan obligation vehicles (CLOs) and collateralized debt obligation vehicles (CDOs).

Guided by department objectives and priorities, under general supervision, work with attorneys in the firm’s Business Restructuring & Insolvency Group to (1) assist in documenting and coordinating the closing of transactions for the purchase and sale of loans, (2) assist attorneys in preparing contracts and other client documents, (3) prepare and maintain files for open and closed transactions and loan documents, and (4) research distressed companies and bankruptcy cases. 

Ideal Candidate       

Bachelor’s Degree and strong academic record required.
