The role of the Marketing Technology Specialist is critical to the day-to-day operations of the firms marketing efforts. The primary function of this role is to coordinate and manage all marketing related technology platforms and analytics, including the firm’s website and mini-sites, website analytics, email marketing platform, proposal generator, experience database and practice group blogs. This role will serve as the liaison between Marketing Operations, Business Development and the IT departments to ensure all marketing technology strategies align with the firm’s business development goals.
Essential Job Requirements
- Regularly update content on all outward facing web platforms
- Proactively monitor and identify potential areas of risk and work with IT and vendors to mitigate such risks.
- Work closely with Marketing Communications, Business Development and practice groups to develop website content best practices.
- Proactively provide regular analytics reporting on all outward facing web platforms and identify potential business development opportunities, as well as advise on ways to optimize website viewership.
- Serve as primary support for Email Relationship Marketing (ERM) platform (Concep).
- Preparation and distribution of all outbound communications including event invitations, announcements, client alerts and newsletters.
- Develop and implement best practices for efficiently and effectively managing ERM usage.
- Assist in the development of branding guidelines for all ERM communications to ensure a consistent look and feel across all communications in support of the firm’s brand.
- Support CRM Supervisor with maintaining data quality in CRM system (InterAction.)
- Support with developing ways to grow CRM content and functionality that enhances the value of the content to the lawyers in support of business development efforts.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Strong knowledge of Website CMS technologies and processes (Umbraco knowledge a plus), e-mail marketing systems (Concep, Vuture,) CRM (Interaction, Contactnet,) SiteImprove, Google Analytics, Proposal Generator, Experience Database software and Social Media outlets. InDesign, Photoshop and basic knowledge of HTML and CSS a strong plus.
- Superb organizational skills and attention to detail with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be highly motivated and possess strong project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and efficiently manage workload.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
