HRIS Specialist
Three month assignment, possibly longer.

Reports to: HRIS Compensation & Payroll Manager
Summary
Assists the department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all Firm employees, with particular focus in database related projects.
Relationships
Reports directly to the HRIS/Compensation & Payroll Manager. Works closely with all Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits staff across all offices. Interacts frequently with all directors, managers, and administrative and legal staff to provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Primary
- Creates and modifies all ADPR reports from the HRIS database for all legal and administrative staff. Ensures all reports are complete, proofread and accurate.
- Responsible for the data entry into the HRIS system for the International Offices.
- Works on surveys as needed for all legal and administrative staff. Ensures all data is complete, proofread and accurate.
- Assists in administering the Firm’s salary and bonus plans.
- Writes procedures and user manual as needed for EV5. Ensures procedures and manuals are up to date.
- Reviews the HR/Benefits Coordinator’s task of the weekly Hire/Term List. Ensures all data is proofread and accurate and disseminated in a timely manner.
- Backup to the HRIS Assistant task of maintaining the integrity of the CID (Contact Information Database) for administrative staff (terminations, title changes, ADP number, etc).
- Assists and participates with new database initiatives.
- eTime – serves as the backup timekeepr to the HRIS Assistant and provides 1st level support to end users.
- Assists with special projects when requested.
Secondary
- Serves as back up to the HRIS Assistant in entering employee data into the HRIS system for all NYO administrative and legal staff.
- Serves as a back up to the HR/Benefits Coordinator in compiling and disseminating the weekly Hire/Term List. Ensures all data is proofread and accurate and disseminated in a timely manner.
- Serves as a back up to the HR/Benefits Coordinator in maintaining the integrity of the CID.
- General Ledger – Serves as a back up to the Senior HRIS Specialist to implement and modify accounts/codes as needed by the Payroll/Accounting departments. Liaises with Accounting to ensure that all mapping is accurate.
Specifications
Education
- A 4-year college degree preferred.
Experience
- At least three years of related work experience in relevant Human Resources field in a professional services environment. Prior law firm experience is desirable.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources. Prior knowledge of ADP Enterprise, eTime (V8) and ADPR. Effective oral and written communication skills; professionalism and integrity. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments. Ability to work under pressure with interruptions and tight deadlines. Ability to use independent judgment and problem solve. Creativity, intellectual curiosity, high degree of accuracy.
Attendance
- All positions require punctuality and regular attendance.
Technological Skills
- Proficiency with an ADP Enterprise database preferred and ADP eTime v8 and ADPR. Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
