Senior In-house Contracts Paralegal

The Senior Paralegal will provide support for a range of legal services, and in addition be responsible for independent project work at the direction of the General Counsel. The Sr. Paralegal will have a primary focus in supporting the marketing, advertising, media, communications, and ecommerce operations and will partner with these business functions in legal support capacities as identified business needs arise.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Work closely with sales, client service, finance and attorneys on preparation and drafting of licenses and other agreements.
- Prepare/review initial drafts of Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work and contract amendments based on templates and client supplied information.
- Review client prepared contract drafts for completeness and for compliance with legal department contract guidelines, as needed.
- Manage contract draft changes with clients, review comments and redlines, seek internal feedback, incorporate redlined changes into documents, and manage document versions.
- Negotiate contract revisions and provide negotiation assistance, as needed, to attorneys for more complex negotiations.
- Assemble documents for execution.
- Draft, manage and update contract templates.
- Creation of new documents, as needed, under supervision of attorneys
- Update contract reports and database systems.
- Perform contract research and interpretation under the supervision of attorneys and communicate responses, as appropriate.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
KEY ATTRIBUTES
- Has strong credentials & references. BS/BA degree required.
- Paralegal certification an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a Contracts or Legal Department.
- In-house experience in data/technology licensing and/or digital services extremely helpful.
- Comfort with digital technology and privacy concepts a plus.
- Learns quickly, takes responsibility, and works both independently and as a contributing team member.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Establishes priorities, efficiently coordinates work activities and provides quick turnaround without compromising quality.
