Land Use Planner II

Fortune, 100 ranked best places to work, global law firm is seeking a Land Use Planner II in our Reston, VA office who will work under the supervision of Land Use Attorneys. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience working on real estate project development. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: assisting in the preparation and management of rezoning and land development applications; assisting with processing of permits and bonds; performing land use, zoning, title and survey due diligence; preparing for and participating at public hearings. A bachelor’s degree is required. Masters degree is a plus and degrees in urban planning, urban design or related field are strongly preferred, as is AICP certification. Applicants must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive details. Applicant must have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with personnel and to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly. Overtime will be required, occasionally on short notice. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume and writing sample.
