Project Manager, eDiscovery

Job Description

The Project Manager, eDiscovery plans, manages, coordinates, executes and finalizes the day to day eDiscovery activities on a matter.

In this capacity, the Project Manager, eDiscovery:

  • Plans, coordinates and manages all of the day to day eDiscovery project activities on a matter including vendor management, communication and monitoring;
  • Coordinates with the firm’s attorneys on matter status, deadline management, eDiscovery budget,logistics and documentation of efforts for defensibility or process;
  • May act as a subject matter expert for eDiscovery, and provides guidance and general oversight for internal clients during the eDiscovery life-cycle;
  • Gathers, documents and coordinates project specification from internal and external clients and works with internal operational teams to ensure requirements and timelines are understood and met;
  • Identifies and manages issues and risks;
  • Performs quality control and assurance of project data prior to client delivery;
  • Work overtime as required, in particular at month end and year end; and
  • Handle additional related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in computer science, electrical engineering or related field
  • (required);
  • At least 5 years of litigation support experience;
  • At least 5 years of eDiscovery project management experience required;
  • At least 5 years of professional services or law firm experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with strong analytical and presentation skills;
  • Ability to communicate directly with clients, both internal and external;
  • Ability to work effectively with both the legal and technical teams;
  • Advanced proficiency in organization, coordinating tasks on a project(s) simultaneously;
  • Advanced knowledge of project management best practices;
  • Advanced knowledge of the concepts, principles, management and processing of electronically stored information as they relate to legal matters; and
  • Knowledge of litigation domain.
