Project Manager, eDiscovery

Job Description
The Project Manager, eDiscovery plans, manages, coordinates, executes and finalizes the day to day eDiscovery activities on a matter.
In this capacity, the Project Manager, eDiscovery:
- Plans, coordinates and manages all of the day to day eDiscovery project activities on a matter including vendor management, communication and monitoring;
- Coordinates with the firm’s attorneys on matter status, deadline management, eDiscovery budget,logistics and documentation of efforts for defensibility or process;
- May act as a subject matter expert for eDiscovery, and provides guidance and general oversight for internal clients during the eDiscovery life-cycle;
- Gathers, documents and coordinates project specification from internal and external clients and works with internal operational teams to ensure requirements and timelines are understood and met;
- Identifies and manages issues and risks;
- Performs quality control and assurance of project data prior to client delivery;
- Work overtime as required, in particular at month end and year end; and
- Handle additional related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who have:
- Bachelor’s degree with major in computer science, electrical engineering or related field
- (required);
- At least 5 years of litigation support experience;
- At least 5 years of eDiscovery project management experience required;
- At least 5 years of professional services or law firm experience required.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written with strong analytical and presentation skills;
- Ability to communicate directly with clients, both internal and external;
- Ability to work effectively with both the legal and technical teams;
- Advanced proficiency in organization, coordinating tasks on a project(s) simultaneously;
- Advanced knowledge of project management best practices;
- Advanced knowledge of the concepts, principles, management and processing of electronically stored information as they relate to legal matters; and
- Knowledge of litigation domain.
