The Opportunity
Drive revenue to a billion-dollar global law firm through overseeing and leading business development for the corporate practices (M&A, Private Equity, Emerging Companies & Venture Capital, Fund Formation, Public Companies, Impact Investing) to develop and sustain loyal client base and drive revenue to the practices. High visibility within marketing department, including close interaction with Chief Marketing Officer, and with partners in premier Corporate practices. Provide overall direction to Corporate Business Development managers and staff, setting strategic and operational goals, metrics, and priorities, and providing mentorship and guidance. Provide thought leadership and executes on targeted marketing methods including effective client events, worthwhile organizational affiliations and sponsorships, cross-practice initiatives, and other projects. Work closely with the communications team to develop media relations opportunities, including strategies for inclusion on key lists and in all relevant directories. Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, MBA preferred.
- At least seven years of relevant experience in professional services marketing; law firm experience strongly preferred. Thorough knowledge of Corporate practice areas, with direct work experience strongly preferred.
- Expert knowledge of core marketing principles including driving innovative tools and programs, competitive intelligence, market research, and pitch and RFP responses.
- Experience in leading a team of marketing professionals and driving success through high performance collaboration.
