Legal Recruiting Assistant (Temp to Perm)
Job Summary
The Legal Recruiting Assistant will assist with all areas of entry level and lateral recruiting for the Firm. This position will report to the Director of Legal Recruiting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Legal Recruiting and assist with the lateral partner recruiting program.
- Assist with managing recruiting files and the recruiting database, viRecruit.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews, meetings and events.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for the director and managers, as well as for prospective candidates.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of statistical reports summarizing and tracking recruiting activities.
- Track and process all department expenses, background checks, reference checks and conflicts checks.
- Assist with the lateral associate and entry-level associate (fall/summer) recruiting programs.
- Prepare engagement and declination letters for applicants.
- Organize and prepare information from headhunters and unsolicited applicants and interview materials for prospective candidates.
- Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1-2 years of recruiting experience in a law firm environment.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Individual must also have the ability to work extended hours, if requested; handle multiple projects with frequently changing priorities.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
