Information Processing Coordinator

Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm ET

Summary

  • Performs all GDCIP Operator-related tasks, as necessary.
    • May need to perform Supervisor-related tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the department when the GDCIP Assistant Manager or GDCIP Manager are not available (Departmental and personnel issues should be escalated to the GDCIP Assistant Manager and/or GDCIP Manager as appropriate).
    • Follows and enforces departmental operation guidelines and protocols.
    • Monitors incoming workflow and consults with Dispatchers, as required.
    • Coordinates large projects and helps arrange coverage, as required.
    • Negotiates deadlines and determines priorities based on customer needs.
    • Provides work direction to available Operators.
    • In response to emergency requests or an unscheduled priority assignment, rearranges work schedules and other assignments, as required.
    • Communicates effectively and professionally with Supervisor regarding workflow and other issues.
    • Orients and trains new Operators in standard procedures, equipment and firm policies.
    • Performs routine Quality Assurance audits of completed work requests to ensure compliance and provides constructive feedback to Operators.
    • “Go to” person for applications issues and resolution.
    • Provides software testing as required
    • Provides technical help when required
    • Maintains accurate production records.
    • Provides information to customers about services provided by the department.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have excellent customer service skills; good organization skills; the ability to work in a centralized environment providing support to all offices worldwide; strong attention to detail; and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Candidates must have experience in a large law firm environment with a broad understanding of legal terminology; effective communication skills, both written and oral; the ability to organize and prioritize work as assigned; and remain calm under deadline pressure.  Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a full-time operator in a legal word processing department with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a lead, coordinator or supervisor; and expert level skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Experience

Expert level skills in Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat.  MOS Certifications recommended.
