Network Analyst

Reports to: Network Manager

Newark, NJ

Essential Duties

• Assist with the administration of Firm’s LAN/WAN and associated Networking systems environment
• Assist in 1^st level administration of our Citrix environment, AD, E-mail, Backups, LAN/WAN.
• Assist with the administration, implementation and managing of the Firm Server, Storage and Datacenter based operations throughout the Enterprise.
• Assist with 1^st level management and maintenance of the Firm’s Primary and Secondary Datacenter locations and all associated equipment therein
• Provide support during data center installations.
• Responsible for physical Network / Server equipment installations.
• Inventory servers/networking equipment and update.
• Assist with other general data center duties as directed.

RELATED DUTIES

• Interact with other IT groups to implement backend systems as needed and maintain and update system documentation for all Network based systems
• Monitor the network and all mission critical systems on a daily basis for upkeep and performance
• Assist with all Firm’s backup and data recovery operations
• Work with 3rd party vendors to implement and upgrade to new technology solutions
• Work with the Network Manager on designing new systems and implementing them

Minimum Qualifications

Training and Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the networking field as a Network Analyst or equivalent.
• Experience with supporting large enterprise systems: LAN/WAN/SAN

Knowledge, Abilities and Skill

• Excellent communication, organization, and writing skills.
• Strong knowledge of datacenter architecture and environment’s. Such as UPS, power and HVAC requirements.
• Excellent knowledge of Citrix MetaFrame, LAN/WAN, Networking concepts and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of basic troubleshooting fundamentals with Network and Systems based problems and familiarity with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, SAN storage, Dell server hardware, Windows 2008 OS and Exchange 2010
