Specialist, Business Development & Marketing
Job Description
Global, law firm is currently seeking a Business Development and Marketing Specialist who can be resident in the Silicon Valley Palo Alto, CA office. This position will support the full range of business development and marketing initiatives of this office, with particular emphasis on providing support for the Corporate & Business Transactions and Intellectual Property practice groups both in this office as well as across the national platform of these practices.
This position will work closely with attorneys and the Business Development and Marketing team in Silicon Valley, San Francisco and across offices in organizing, coordinating and executing all related business development and marketing activities.
The successful candidate will participate in the implementation of group marketing and communication plans and be expected to coordinate day-to-day activities.
Specific responsibilities for this position include: supporting seminar/event/webinar activities; drafting internal and external communications and marketing collateral; preparing pitch proposals and assisting attorneys and other members of the business development team with presentations and RFP responses as necessary; developing and maintaining mailing lists, contact lists and client profiles through the use of the firm’s CRM, InterAction; developing speaking and authorship opportunities with professional and trade organizations; and collaborating with other marketing, communications and graphics team members.
Experience
Qualified candidates must possess an undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or a related field and have a minimum of 7 years of related experience. Candidates must be self-motivated, be committed to excellence in the workplace and have exceptional attention to detail. Candidates must also have demonstrated the ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment; proficiency in the use of PowerPoint, spreadsheet, and database applications; and possess excellent writing skills. Candidates will have a keen ability to collaborate and work with all levels of the Firm, Practice Group, Office Management and clients and a demonstrated ability to effectively contribute at a high level, influence outcomes and achieve strategic plan objectives.
This position requires a very high energy level, flexibility with work hours, and occasional business travel. Strong organizational, team building and communication skills are essential. Law firm experience is strongly preferred.
