Senior Applications Systems Engineer
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design and maintain applications packages and Core Image Task Sequences (MDT and SCCM) for the Firm’s endpoints, XenDesktop, and XenApp end-user desktop
- Manage and maintain Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop images, collections, and AD groups using Citrix PVS, MSC, and Citrix Studio
- Implement and manage Microsoft Group Policies and Group Policy Preferences in support of the Firm’s applications to provide consistent end user experience and a secure
- Design and maintain User Profile management, Citrix XenApp, and Citrix XenDesktop policies to increase stability and
- Design, manage, and maintain the Windows Updates and security patch strategy for Servers, Virtual Desktops, and physical endpoint
- Design, manage, and maintain a clean Active Directory
- Deliver high quality end-user system performance, experience, stability and security through design recommendations and system
- Create and maintain current documentation of design decisions, application integration, and deployment
- Deliver prompt quality customer support to end-users by providing support and final resolution to 2nd and 3rd level escalated Support Center
- Install, configure and maintain VMware environment for Windows Server 2008/2012 network servers. Research and recommend enhancements to the system to better serve the needs of the
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management.
- Experience with Citrix PVS, Storefront, and Netscaler technologies.
- Experience with SQL scripting, stored procedures, and automated integration tasks.
- Knowledge of software development fundamentals.
- Experience and working knowledge of VMWare and ESX hypervisor environments.
- Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7-10, Active Directory, and Group Policy Management.
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM 2012, Server, Desktop, application packaging and deployment including patch management.
- Experience with VMWare virtualization.
- Experience with Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Storefront, Mobility, and NetScaler.
- Experience with legal desktop applications and backend systems including Microsoft Office, iManage, Elite, DTE/IntApp Time, LexisNexis Interaction, and New Business Intake Workflow.
- Ability to effectively manage rapidly changing priorities to support the needs of the Firm.
- Capable of learning large, complex applications in a short time frame
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and possess creative problem solving skills.
- Proven experience supporting large number (800 or more) of end users.
- Prior law firm experience preferred.
- Available to work flexible hours as needed.
- BA/BS degree preferred in Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred.
