Corporate Legal Secretary

Three month temp assignment-maternity leave

Hours are 8:30AM to 4:30PM, but flexible for 9:00AM-5:00PM

Essential Duties

  • Document Creation, Document Editing and Preparation
  • Filings
  • Expense reimbursement processing
  • Scheduling meetings with clients
  • Calendar maintenance
  • Travel arrangements
  • Entering attorney time
  • Preparing monthly bills
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Answer telephone calls, transfer calls to the appropriate person and take accurate messages in their absence

Related Duties

  • Being available for overtime a plus
  • Assist other attorneys and secretaries within the office through the direction of the Manager

Minimum Qualifications

Training and Experience

  • 10+ years of recent experience working as a corporate secretary in the legal field
  • Must type a minimum of 70 words per minute

Knowledge, Abilities and Skill

  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern legal office practices and procedures
  • Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Worksite, Litera Comparison, LegalKey, DTE, ChromeRiver and Interaction
  • Must be able to multi-task in an extremely fast paced, high volume of work environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • Must have excellent grammar, proofreading and English composition skills
