Marketing Communications Associate
Position Summary/Overview
The Marketing Communications Associate will be responsible for assisting with the writing and coordination of a variety of materials for the Firm’s Marketing Department. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer and will have experience working with attorneys at every level of a law firm. The ability to work well under deadline pressure is also required. The Marketing Communications Associate will:
Draft and/or edit the following materials:
- Other Marketing Collateral as needed
- RFPs and Pitches
- Journal Ads
- Brochures
- Blogs
- Website Copy
- Industry Practice One-Pagers
- Power Point Presentations
- Social Media and Attorney Linked In Profiles
- Attorney Bios
- Assist with public relations efforts as directed by the Marketing Communications Director
- Create business development materials for lawyers as needed for pitch meetings
- Assist and/or directs projects including proposal tracking, archiving of marketing materials, and other internal initiatives
- Create and coordinate materials for marketing events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Marketing
- 5 + years of writing / communications (preferably in the legal field)
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to create messages and experiences intended for a sophisticated business and legal audience
- Creative, with an eye for compelling and effective graphic design
- Proficient in Word and Power Point. Photoshop and In Design, a plus
- An energetic self-starter who has a strong desire to exceed expectations
- Works well independently as well as within a team environment
- Able to effectively liaise with outside vendors and professionals
