Marketing Communications Associate

Position Summary/Overview

The Marketing Communications Associate will be responsible for assisting with the writing and coordination of a variety of materials for the Firm’s Marketing Department. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer and will have experience working with attorneys at every level of a law firm. The ability to work well under deadline pressure is also required. The Marketing Communications Associate will:

Draft and/or edit the following materials:

  • Other Marketing Collateral as needed
  • RFPs and Pitches
  • Journal Ads
  • Brochures
  • Blogs
  • Website Copy
  • Industry Practice One-Pagers
  • Power Point Presentations
  • Social Media and Attorney Linked In Profiles
  • Attorney Bios
  • Assist with public relations efforts as directed by the Marketing Communications Director
  • Create business development materials for lawyers as needed for pitch meetings
  • Assist and/or directs projects including proposal tracking, archiving of marketing materials, and other internal initiatives
  • Create and coordinate materials for marketing events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Marketing
  • 5 + years of writing / communications (preferably in the legal field)
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to create messages and experiences intended for a sophisticated business and legal audience
  • Creative, with an eye for compelling and effective graphic design
  • Proficient in Word and Power Point. Photoshop and In Design, a plus
  • An energetic self-starter who has a strong desire to exceed expectations
  • Works well independently as well as within a team environment
  • Able to effectively liaise with outside vendors and professionals
