HR Generalist

Reports to: HR Director and CEO 

Position Specification

The HR Generalist will partner and work closely with a shared services HR support team and be responsible for performing a full range of generalist duties for firm.

Including but not limited to:

  • Handle full cycle recruiting for operations and investment professionals, including development of job descriptions, position postings and offer letters; candidate-screening; management of sourcing relationships and contracts with search firms, social media and campus recruiting offices
  • Manage day-to-day HR functions involving new hire on-boarding, separation interviews and agreements, policy and recordkeeping governance, benefits/compensation administration, performance management and resolution of employee relations issues
  • Provide recommendations regarding the development and administration of human resource policies and programs that align with employee needs and corporate culture
  • Act as payroll and finance liaison; maintain HRIS by tracking, approving and reporting payroll information; administer changes to employee records and headcount reporting
  • Design and conduct new employee orientations; explain benefit programs to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and immigration matters; recordkeeping; regulatory filings such as EEO reporting and maintain updated labor law in employee manuals
  • Prepare and maintain company salary information, job documentation, and performance evaluation systems; complete salary survey questionnaires
  • Complete employment verifications of current and former employees as requested
  • Prepare and distribute Family and Medical Leave information and forms as appropriate
  • Conduct annual health care renewal meetings at both NY and TX offices

Other duties as required Work Experience and Skills

  • Proven ability to manage a large work volume in a fast-paced environment with very high attention to detail
  • Minimum 7 years HR generalist experience/ degree in HR or certification desired
  • Payroll and HRIS systems – preferably ADP’s Workforce Now and HRB
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organization and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivation, discipline and a desire to uphold firm values
  • Financial services industry with global experience preferred
  • Flexibility to work long hours and ability to travel 20% as needed

 

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $200K plus bonus
