Senior Recruiting Coordinator/Specialist
The Legal Recruiting Department of a premier, mid-size law firm has an opening for a Coordinator in its New York office. This position will support the legal recruiting function with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Legal Recruiting Duties
- Coordinate lateral associate and partner candidate interviews, including booking conference rooms, sending calendar invites, and sending evaluation links.
- Assist with general administrative duties as needed.
- Update and maintain recruiting database, records, files, and calendars.
- Assist with new hire orientation and integration logistics.
- Prepare and send candidate correspondence.
- Assist with diversity initiatives as they relate to recruiting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least two years of recruiting experience (ideally including lateral associates and partners) is required; experience working for a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
- The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) skills; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; a very strong attention to detail; and a professional demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships among lawyers and staff to achieve results. Requires a high level of collaboration with attorneys and staff and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and using the internet is a must. Working knowledge of relational databases and web technology would be beneficial. Familiarity with viDesktop, LawCruit and/or other recruiting systems strongly preferred.
