Senior Business Development Coordinator
The Senior Business Development Coordinator supports the business development and marketing initiatives for the development of client relationships and new business opportunities in the Finance, Restructuring and Investment Management practices.
In this capacity, the Senior Business Development Coordinator will:
- Support and enhance the firm’s Client Relationship program and key customer service strategy; Develop and execute annual business plans for both developing practices and key client relationships;
- Provide a high level of customer service to client and practice teams;
- Strategize and interface with internal stakeholders on proposed client development projects and Business Development initiatives;
- Prepare, edit and disseminate materials, including pitch/proposal, RFP responses, cross-selling activities, and the promotion of best practices;
- Maintain and update marketing collateral for assigned practices;
- Collect and maintain deal descriptions and databases for assigned practices, including preparing submissions for appropriate league tables;
- Research existing and prospective clients, competitor activity and market trends / opportunities;
- Document practice specific experience and credentials; Record ROI; Prepare financial summaries; Develop and manage budgets;
- Organize and coordinate events;
- Participate in IdeaLab, the Business Development cross-departmental training program;
- Work overtime as required; and
- Handle additional business development and marketing projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree;
- At least 5 years of marketing experience (preferred);
- At least 3 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (preferred);
- Experience in transactional practices a plus;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Advanced proficiency in online research and internet resources (Lexis-Nexis and equivalent);
- Advanced proficiency in English language usage, including punctuation, spelling, grammar and writing skills;
- Advanced knowledge of marketing principles, procedures, concepts and practical applications;
- Advanced knowledge of the needs and expectations of law firm operations and corporate legal clients in order to function at a strategic level;
- Advanced knowledge of legal concepts; and
- Fundamental knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. InterAction).
