Litigation Support Specialist-Temp/Temp to Perm
Summary
As part of the Litigation Support team, the Litigation Support Specialist assists the Firm efforts in supporting all discovery efforts in an efficient, cost-effective case automations systems and litigation support applications. Reporting to the Litigation Support Manager, the Specialist will also work directly with attorneys, paralegals, and other practice support team members to maximize the usage of litigation support tools and applications. Specialists must have a “hands on” approach and will be responsible for providing technical support for discovery data. The Specialist is also expected to maintain timely and accurate time records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential functions are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.
- Works with support case management systems and litigation support applications, including Summation iBlaze, Summation Pro, Concordance (9/10), LiveNote, West Case Notebook, CaseMap, Sanction, Relativity and LAW
- Thorough knowledge in document imaging formats, load files, data manipulation/conversion, and database applications including: Concordance, Summation (iBlaze / Pro), Opticon, IPRO, LiveNote / Case Notebook, Sanction, Casemap, Timemap, Microsoft Office Suite/Exchange and LAW. Experience with Relativity and other proprietary review applications: Kroll INVIEW, CLS eZReview.
- Highly proficient with file management and file transfer best practices, copy, compression and encryption techniques.
- Assists with creation of new databases in firm supported applications, designing new databases, loading data and performing maintenance on the databases.
- Assists with the management and coordination of equipment, supplies and services for use in practice support activities.
- Must have experience providing on-site support in arbitration hearings and courtroom proceedings as needed and to operate and troubleshoot trial technology such as Sanctions and Trial Director and perform the “hot seat” duties and helps to establish temporary support centers for pretrial and trial activities.
- Must be open to both domestic and international travel.
- Conducts training sessions in a classroom setting or one-on-one environment on litigation and other practice technology support applications such as Summation, LiveNote / Case Notebook, CaseMap, Concordance, IPRO, Opticon and Sanctions.

- Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain while organizing and maintaining multiple cases.
Education and Experience
- Four-year college education.
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience working currently as a Specialist or Analyst, including at least three (3) years in a large law firm.
- Industry related application specific or specialty certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is a plus.
