Front Desk Receptionist – (M-F, 8am-430pm)
Premier, global, law fimr is currently recruiting for a Receptionist in our New York office. This position will be responsible for greeting guests, welcoming them to the Firm, and assisting them throughout their stay. Provide quality service to clients and guests. The primary goal of the Receptionist position is to ensure that clients and guests have a positive experience and that our service exceeds their expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare in advance for day’s visitors (to recognize them, greet them by name and meet individual expectations).
- Warmly greet visitors, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
- Confirm appropriate conference room set up for all daily meetings.
- Schedule meeting rooms on an ad hoc basis throughout the day.
- Attend to special requests of visitors as they arise. Including but not limited to: arrange for cabs or car service as requested, print boarding passes, print documents.
- Communicate important daily events to back up and evening shift personnel, as needed.
- Participate as needed with client and special events.
- Address and/or respond to technological problems that arise in Conference Rooms.
- Provide all the information guests need, which include providing information on the facilities available and the services able to be booked. It may also include providing information on travel routes (best way to/from airport), schedules for outings (SNR happenings), etc.
- Proactive outreach, such as: monitor delays or cancellations of flights, offer to extend accommodations, offer timely information regarding Firm and cultural events.
- Perform visiting attorney responsibilities when Conference Services Assistant is out of office.
- Ongoing projects as requested.
Experience & Qualifications
- Ability to use good judgment in effectively providing services personally or to know when to immediately refer requests to the appropriate department manager for action. Maintains confidentiality.
- Ability to accommodate changing priorities and requests. Calm, unflappable demeanor.
- Maintain a professional, yet cordial demeanor.
- Knowledge of what the office can offer to visitors in any number of special circumstances and ability to make recommendations based on their needs. Stays abreast of cultural and entertainment opportunities offered in the area.
- Familiarity with basic Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and Internet search tools.
- Comfortable with audio visual equipment in Conference Center and able to troubleshoot basic problems.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple demands and work well under pressure.

Salary: Hourly, open dependent on experience
