A premier, global law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to join their Litigation team in San Diego. In this dynamic role, the successful candidate will partner closely with attorneys and paralegals to effectively manage complex cases, demonstrate insight into legal procedures, and apply technologies to maximize efficiency in carrying out assignments. From conducting in-depth research to preparing court-ready documents, this position plays a key role in achieving successful outcomes for clients. Responsibilities

  • Apply a broad set of knowledge and skills to effectively manage complex cases, demonstrating insight into legal procedures, project management, cost efficiencies, and collaborative skills; effectively identify, promote, and apply technologies to maximize efficiency in carrying out assignments.
  • Manage complex cases; develop relationships, internally and externally, to gather data and information and to create networks of relevant resources and services.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize assignments appropriately; determine and implement effective organizational and procedural methods.
  • Review and analyze documents and data, perform procedural and factual research with understanding of client, matter, and business needs; provide insightful analysis, recommendations, and solutions to further case objectives.
  • Create and maintain, or oversee maintenance of, files, documents, and data.
  • Prepare and edit a range of written materials, including correspondence, memoranda, drafts of legal documents, and factual analyses.
  • Provide mentorship to junior paralegals and staff.
  • Demonstrate strong case management and case life-cycle skills.
  • Engage proactively with clients and manage ongoing communication and relationship management.
  • Conduct research using tools, platforms, and databases approved or provided by the client.
  • Review, analyze, and summarize client-generated materials.
  • Contribute to the development of shared knowledge resources, reference materials, and best practices for the broader product liability team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant litigation experience required.
  • Trial experience required.
  • Significant experience managing discovery requests, responses, and document production.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of accountability, with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow complex instructions accurately.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong research, analytical, and data synthesis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet client and business demands.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation: $120,000.00-$165,000.00, plus overtime and bonus
