Conflicts Resolution Analyst

Summary
The Conflicts Resolution Analyst assists the Firm’s Conflicts of Interest Attorneys in reviewing and resolving conflict of interest reports and related matters, in alignment with departmental objectives and priorities. Proactively communicates with attorneys and other stakeholders regarding conflicts issues; conducts in-depth research; and develops, documents, and presents recommendations for resolution. Ensures a high standard of client service and satisfaction across all areas of responsibility.
Conflict Review and Resolution
- Review conflict reports to identify potential conflicts, including those involving lateral attorney and staff hires, by assessing entity roles, interpreting existing waivers, and confirming whether matters are closed.
- Research affiliate relationships using commercial databases.
- Collaborate with responsible attorneys to confirm the status and nature of potentially conflicting matters and develop resolution recommendations.
- Provide attorneys with recommended steps to resolve identified conflicts, in accordance with Firm guidelines and under the direction of Conflicts Counsel and the Office of General Counsel.
- Prepare timely written summaries of the conflicts analysis and resolution process.
- Review and draft conflicts waiver language for engagement letters and Outside Counsel Guidelines, under Conflicts Counsel oversight.
- Implement ethical walls in accordance with Firm policies.
- Escalate complex or high-risk conflicts issues to Conflicts Counsel or Conflicts Resolution Attorneys, consistent with established guidelines.
Professional Development
- Stay current on industry trends in Conflicts/New Business and the legal profession.
- Maintain proficiency in relevant technology and leverage it to enhance teamwork, client service, and efficiency.
- Contribute to projects that add value to clients, attorneys, timekeepers, and the Firm.
- Develop expertise in conflicts analysis, risk assessment, and professional judgment through exposure to increasingly complex matters.
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree.
- Four years’ relevant conflicts experience in a role involving issue spotting, research, and recommendation development.. Conflicts resolution experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in issue spotting, research, and recommendation development; conflicts resolution experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Intapp Open Conflicts, ServiceNow, Dun & Bradstreet, LexisNexis, and/or iManage/SPM preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels in time-sensitive situations.
- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Interest in conflicts of interest issues, laws, and procedures, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.
New York, San Francisco salary range: $70,000.00-$99,000.00, plus overtime and bonus.
