Accounts Payable Coordinator

Summary

The Accounts Payable Coordinator works closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to include, but not limited to, accounts payable, maintaining records, and assisting in the preparation of periodic reports.

The Accounts Payable Coordinator reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and has direct contact with other firm management positions and the Managing Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare American Express reporting including:
    • Match back up to bills.
    • Prepare entries
  • Review employee expense reports for documentation and approvals.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding timing of payment, invoice discrepancies, and other invoice related issues
  • Enter invoices and client disbursements timely, requiring consistent communication with attorneys for disbursement approval.
  • Preparation of wires within online banking platform
  • Maintains accounts payable files.
  • Assist in preparation of cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Pull client expense documentation for client billing.
  • Respond to attorney requests.
  • Work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager, Assistant Controller, and Controller on areas of process improvement.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable.
  • Law firm experience preferred, not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Aderant is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
  • Proficient in Concur or other expense reimbursement management systems is preferred.
  • Must be detailed oriented and highly organized.
  • Must demonstrate high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work additional hours outside of regular business hours as needed.

Compensation

  • $60,000.00-$85,000.00 plus overtime and bonus
