Summary
A leading national law firm as a position available for an experienced full-time Legal Administrative Assistant (Legal Secretary) in their New York Office, supporting attorneys in the Real Estate Financial Services practice group. This is a hybrid role with 4 days in the office and one day working from home.
Responsibilities
- Candidate must possess 5+ years of real estate law experience.
- Experience in tax law and real estate finance would be beneficial
- Must have excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including the expertise of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage files, open new matters as requested by attorneys, and maintain all relevant
- document inclusions for the files.
- Responsible for a broad variety of administrative tasks including strong organizational
- skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with
- meticulous attention to detail.
- Responsible for preparation of real estate documents, closing binders, and assisting with
- recording numerous real estate documents with various states.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinating and tracking continuing legal education requirements for attorneys.
- Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
- Experience with Chrome River, InTapp and iManage applications would be beneficial.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess strong initiative, demonstrate an ability to anticipate needs, resolve issues/problems independently, have strong organizational skills, be able to work independently as well as in a team setting and manage multiple projects/tasks at a time. Other essential requirements for this position include the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to develop rapport with co-workers as well as clients; maintain strong working relationships; exhibit meticulous attention to detail; handle confidential and sensitive information; and possess strong proofreading and typing skills.
Compensation
The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$95,000.00 annually, plus overtime and bonus eligibility.
