Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in firm-wide financial planning and performance analysis. This role is responsible for delivering strategic insights through financial reporting, trend analysis, and data visualization, including through robust Tableau dashboard development. The role involves assisting practice groups, partners, and firm leadership by contributing to the development of data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Prepare executive-ready financial reports, dashboards, and presentations highlighting key metrics and trends across the firm, practice groups, and sectors.
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards that visualize KPIs, productivity metrics, revenue performance, utilization, and profitability indicators.
- Design and implement multidimensional Tableau and SQL reports that support partner-facing insights and may be incorporated into leadership or Board-level communications.
- Perform detailed financial statement analysis to identify performance trends, cost drivers, and strategic risks or opportunities.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly and year-to-date budget variance reports, ensuring timely distribution to relevant leadership groups.
- Play a key role in the annual revenue budgeting and forecasting process, including building and supporting modeling for fees, collections, utilization, and headcount.
- Conduct in-depth productivity and utilization analyses to support staffing, pricing, and operational strategies.
- Use predictive analytics techniques to inform strategic decisions based on historical and current financial data.
- Provide benchmarking analyses to assess the Firm’s performance against peers and industry norms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, law firm or professional services experience preferred.
- Extensive experience with Tableau dashboard development and SQL is required.
- Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
- Strong analytical, modeling, and forecasting abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting complex financial concepts clearly and succinctly.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a collaborative team environment.
- Proven client service mindset with an emphasis on responsiveness, proactivity, and discretion.

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.
Salary Range: $104,000.00-$145,000.00, plus bonus.
