Summary

The Senior Specialist, Strategic Content, plays a central role in the firms content marketing efforts by producing, coordinating, and optimizing a wide range of strategic communications. This position will help in leading the firm’s alert production process—ensuring timely, polished, and effective delivery of client alerts from draft to distribution—and contribute heavily to the development and execution of video content aligned with the firm’s business priorities. In this cross-functional role, the Senior Specialist will collaborate closely with attorneys, business development, operations, external vendors, and communications team members to shape high impact content across formats and channels. The successful candidate will have a strong editorial background, proven project management experience, and a sharp eye for aligning legal thought leadership with firm strategy and audience needs.

Responsibilities

Client Alerts & Written Content

  • Serve as the firm’s primary point of contact for client alerts.
  • Shepherd alerts through the full production process: drafting, editing, coordinating internal
  • review, and ensuring the timely publication.
  • Copyedit and enhance attorney-authored content—including alerts, blog posts, award
  • submissions, website copy, social media copy, event invitations, and other external-facing
  • content—ensuring consistency with firm style, tone, and SEO best practices.
  • Partner with BD and digital teams to ensure alert content is effectively distributed,
  • promoted, and leveraged across the firm’s marketing channels.
  • Leverage firm-approved AI tools to generate and refine and repurpose content in
  • collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Draft summaries and key takeaways following speaking engagements and events.
  • Support long-term content campaigns, including drafting, scheduling, and reviewing
  • strategic editorial calendars.
  • Review and assist with analysis of content performance and provide insights to inform
  • future initiatives.

Video Content

  • Provide support in the production of strategic video projects, from content development
  • through post-production.
  • Develop interview scripts and questions tailored to attorney goals and firm messaging.
  • Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and attorney prep in partnership with BD, EAs, and Office
  • Manage external vendors through editing cycles to meet timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain the firm’s internal video library, ensuring access to both raw and final content.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in professional services marketing or editorial roles, preferably in a
  • law firm.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong grasp of grammar, tone,
  • and style.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, deadline-driven projects with attention to detail.
  • Experience with video production workflows and vendor coordination; experience editing
  • video and writing for video a plus.
  • Familiarity with legal subject matter and an understanding of confidentiality, compliance,
  • and neutrality in communications.
  • Proficiency in using AI writing tools, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office; experience with
  • content management systems and marketing platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Marketo, Concep) a
  • Understanding of SEO principles and best practices for digital content.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with attorneys and stakeholders across
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking initiative to move projects forward.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or related field

Compensation

$85,000.00-$125,000.00, plus bonus, based on experience.
