Manager, Social Responsibility and Firm Foundation

Summary
The Manager for Social Responsibility and Firm Foundation will be responsible for the strategy, operational and programmatic management of Firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the firm’s community engagement portfolio, which comprises of cause-related events, volunteerism and mentorship programs. Provide strategic planning for the creation and implementation of new and/or revamped community engagement programs and activities.
- Manage the strategic planning and implementation of the Social Responsibility team’s signature events, including, but not limited to, the annual Firm Legal Innovators Conference and the annual Social Impact Awards.
- Support various other aspects of the Firm Legal Innovators Program, including, but not limited to, managing Innovator mentorship programming, year-round celebratory activities and alumni engagement.
- Support and build out the Firm’s sustainability efforts and reporting as needed.
- Support the approval and processing of the Firm’s charitable contribution requests as needed.
- Serve as a mentor, coach and project-based supervisor for the Specialists, Coordinators and Interns on team.
- Participate in external CSR and corporate foundation roundtables, remaining up to date on the latest CSR and corporate foundation trends and best practices. Engage as a thought leader on CSR and corporate foundations.
- Partner with other departments at Firm including, but not limited to, the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Pro Bono, Legal Recruiting, Well-Being, Professional Development and Business Development departments on an on-going basis.
- Any additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work and educational experience.
- Graduate degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in CSR, corporate foundations/philanthropy, nonprofits or other related work experience.
- Experienced event planner and project/program manager.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized. Must be highly motivated with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, concisely and logically. Must be able to vary content, style and form to suit the subject, purpose and needs of diverse audiences.
- Strong working knowledge of the Firm’s software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with Fluxx software for grantmaking management is a plus.
- Ability and desire to serve as an ambassador for Firm and a trusted partner with the Firm’s nonprofit partners. Must be able to develop and maintain excellent customer service relationships with attorneys, administrative staff and nonprofit stakeholders.
- Adhere to Firm policies and procedures, observe confidentiality of all Firm matters and support Firm’s initiatives.
- Desire for continuous learning and improvement. Attend training classes and completes Firm’s annual training requirements.
- Commitment to the importance of diversity and inclusion in all work done on the Social Responsibility and Firm Foundation team.
- Demonstrated commitment and passion for public service and philanthropy.
- Flexibility with work schedule. Limited travel and attending events outside regular work hours may be required.
- While not required, a personal commitment to serving on a nonprofit committee or Board would be a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated salary range is $125,000 – $160,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications. The Firm offers a competitive compensation package comprised of base pay and discretionary year-end bonus for eligible employees.
