Marketing Communications Production Specialist

Summary
Our Client seeks an experienced writer and producer of marketing content and materials. The two key responsibilities of this Marketing Production Specialist role are to: 1) write, edit, and oversee the development of marketing and communications content and materials that reflect the pillars of the firm’s strategy and brand; and 2) lay out, produce, publish, and strategically distribute and track marketing content. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & BD, the role will work closely with the department’s Marketing Coordinator and the Ranking & Awards Manager and will collaborate with the department’s marketing technology and business development teams.
Responsibilities
Brand oversight
The role will be responsible for the firm’s branded materials, including:
- Ensuring that all firm marketing materials in all formats are executed within our brand guidelines (colors, fonts, proportions, graphics, logo use, etc.) and with consistency in the look and feel of the firm’s visual presentation across all platforms, channels, and venues
- Using the firm’s pre-designed templates to produce marketing and thought leadership materials such as client alerts, website posts, social media images and photo collages, infographics, and event invitations, as well as signage, swag, gifts, and special products
- Creation and coordination of the firm’s visual assets, including photography, images for social media posts, and infographics
- Working with the firm’s external design experts on new materials and special branding projects
- Overseeing the development, production, ordering, and inventory management of the firm’s promotional materials, including branded swag, gifts, and holiday cards
Writing, production, and dissemination
This role will oversee the development of all marketing content, including the writing, editing, layout, updating, appropriate dissemination and publishing, and project management of the following:
- Thought leadership and editorial content management, including sourcing, proofreading, and shepherding content through editorial rounds and approvals
- All website content, including updates as well as new sections and language
- Social media content on the firm’s accounts
- External firm announcements (e.g., new attorneys, firm achievements)
- Firm and attorney profiles and other content on third-party websites (e.g., directory profiles, speaker profiles)
- Coordination with third-party aggregators (e.g., JD Supra) to maximize our content’s visibility
- Event collateral creation, such as handout materials
- Internal firmwide marketing communications
- Oversee tools and vendor relationships related to production of collateral, including offline printing as well as digital design vendors
- Oversee our editorial style guide and adherence to the firm’s written style
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience in a marketing or communications role with direct experience in writing, editing, producing content-related graphics, and providing event content support for a professional services firm
- Ability to quickly synthesize complex content into accurate, succinct summaries
- Strong proofreading skills
- Experience scheduling and managing multi-channel content campaigns
- Understand print and online design principles
- Familiarity with image editing and graphic design tools; experience creating multimedia content
- Experience designing HTML invitations, templated tribute ads, collateral, and print materials
- Ability to attend occasional marketing and business development events to set up and strike the firm’s signage, booths or tables, firm literature, swag, and other marketing collateral and equipment
- Comfort working on multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Resourceful, dependable, proactive, can-do attitude
- Very high attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Experience with at least one of the following graphics tools (or similar): Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, Lumen.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience using CRM and email campaign software for large mailings and contact data maintenance.
- Experience using marketing automation tools such as Marketo, Pardot, or Hubspot.
- HTML and WordPress experience.
- Project coordination or project management experience.
Compensation
This position is based in our New York office with a current hybrid schedule of 3 days in-office, 2 days working remotely. The expected salary range is $82,000 to $95,000, depending on experience.
