Summary

The Conflicts & Intake Analyst is responsible for reviewing all incoming new business for potential conflict of interest according to firm policy, liability insurance guidelines and ethics rules. Conducts conflict searches and analyzes results to identify conflict of interest issues relative to new business intake and lateral hires. Manages the conflicts process while providing assistance to attorneys in interpreting searches and the resolution of conflicts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the work of staff and will also be active participants in managing and improving internal process flows.
  • Provide consultations conflicts policies and procedures and assist with the resolution of developing issues.
  • Manage and provide direction to staff.
  • Formulate and implement policies and procedures.
  • Performing conflict searches and generating reports to identify potential issues in relation to new business intake, client engagement letters, lateral attorney hires, and client transfers.
  • Reviewing and analyzing conflict searches and communicating with attorneys to answer questions about potential conflicts and new business intake procedures.
  • Escalating conflicts issues as needed and producing concise reports of findings.
  • Ensuring adherence to firm new business intake procedures and policies.
  • Maintaining and keeping the conflicts database up to date.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of legal assistance experience in legal field.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of legal conflicts and ethical rules.
  • Position requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience with 3E Conflicts and Intapp Intake preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and a willingness to learn or take on new skills.
  • Must have strong organizational, analytical, writing, research and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Compensation

$75,000 – $100,000. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
