Responsibilities

  • Analyze incoming data from sources and provide detailed reports to case teams
  • Reviewing and outlining depositions, indexes, and summarizing documents
  • Perform a variety of automated support tasks necessary to prepare, organize, index, develop and manage exhibits, evidence and data relevant to cases
  • Use state and federal electronic filing systems
  • Collect case materials such as evidence, exhibits, motions and subpoenas
  • Render technical and analytical assistance to support attorney litigation needs, including document review (Relativity), research into case law, drafting of motions and proposed orders and electronic filing
  • Consult with attorneys and case teams to establish workflows supporting efficient document reviews
  • Assist litigation teams on legal automation requirements and systems capabilities to facilitate investigatory or litigation decisions, trial preparation and trial presentation
  • Analyze work product and create document productions using database platforms and performing quality control reviews and revising or improving documents where appropriate
  • Track, store, and organize data in accordance with proper chain of custody protocols
  • Track data, create graphs and complete calculations using Microsoft Excel
  • Apply basic knowledge of civil and criminal procedures, court requirements, and district practices to implement applications needed for criminal cases and matters
  • Assist attorney team in preparation for and all procedures of trial

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree is required; paralegal certificate recommended
  • 3+ years of experience as a Litigation & Trial paralegal
  • Flexibility and the ability to work overtime are essential
  • Excellent time management and project management skills are required including ability to set and manage multiple priorities and make appropriate judgments.
  • Detail oriented, excellent oral and written communication and follow-up skills are crucial (spelling, grammar usage, writing skills, etc.).
  • A high level of energy and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.

Compensation

$60,000 – $95,000, depending on experience and qualifications
