Billing Supervisor

Responsibilities

As a Billing Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Billing department and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures of the firm. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising, training, and coaching the Billing staff while also leading them in their professional development endeavours
  • Making recommendations to the Accounting Manager and Human Resources department with hiring, training, counselling, and disciplining departmental employees
  • Collaborating with the Billing Manager in the performance evaluation for departmental employees and performance improvement recommendations, as well as supervising and coordinating work activities, work flow, and daily functions of the Billing staff
  • Ensuring goals and objectives of the department are met by providing accurate and timely completion of assignments and inquiry responses, as well as ensuring that all tasks and duties completed are done within the firm’s set guidelines and policies
  • Coordinating and ensuring the completion of annual and monthly activities including quarterly inventory campaigns, year-end collections, inventory management, e-billing coordination, and all other high priority and time-sensitive activities

Qualifications

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess thorough knowledge of complex accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures such as posting, balancing, debits and credits, and journal entries
  • Have knowledge and proficiency in PC Applications, including spreadsheet software and operation as well as the ability to set-up complex mathematical formulas in Excel spreadsheets
  • Demonstrate the analytical skills needed to correctly comprehend and communicate data and analyse and reconcile accounts

And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or in a related field
  • CPA or MBA a plus
  • A minimum of five (5) years of increasingly complex accounting experience; a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity desired

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $113,000 – $130,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
