Financial / Client Reporting Analyst

Summary
This role will support firm leadership, and be responsible for gathering, analyzing and presenting financial information. The individual will also develop ad-hoc financial analyses and reports that aid in evaluating business performance and opportunities which support the strategic goals of the firm.
Essential Job Requirements
- Participate, develop and assist in preparation of monthly executive level financial reporting, presentations, graphs and analysis (examples include: Net Investment Report, Admissions Committee data package, Board Package, Diversity reporting, market survey analysis).
 - Assist with the daily and monthly reporting of client, practice and firm results to individual partners and other internal stakeholders of the Firm.
 - Timely completion of month-end deliverables, including practice area information.
 - Prepare ad-hoc revenue analyses, including billing and payment reporting, client and matter realization statistics, rate modeling and timekeeper analyses.
 - Generate analysis and pricing models in support of existing and prospective client relationships.
 - Support pricing function by preparing detailed client/matter models and analyses.
 - Maintain and monitor client/matter budget alerts for compliance with Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFA’s) and project tracking.
 - Assist as needed in firm’s efforts in legal project management and reporting.
 - Contribute to continuous process improvements in reporting, client/matter reporting and planning, and budgeting activities through automation and system enhancements.
 - Ad-hoc projects related to improving overall business profitability and/or cash flow.
 - Other duties and projects as requested.
 
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- 3-5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting required, preferably in a professional services environment or a recent college graduate with Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field.
 - Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field including but not limited to finance, accounting, mathematics, and computer science or commensurate years of experience working in a finance functions (i.e. FP&A).
 - Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and independently
 - Proficient in Excel (pivot tables and advanced functions) and PowerPoint.
 - Comfortable with large data sets.
 - Ability to see the big picture and communicate analyses and findings to management.
 - Ability to maintain professional relationships with all levels of firm personnel.
 - Solid written and verbal communication skills.
 - Solid organizational abilities and attention to detail.
 - Desire to learn and take initiative, not afraid to challenge status quo.
 - Ability to work as an integral member of the Finance Department Team.
 
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $82,000.00-$95,000.00, dependent on experience
