Legal Recruiting Diversity Coordinator

Summary

The Legal Recruiting and Diversity Department is seeking a Firmwide Diversity Recruiting Coordinator to provide strategic support to the campus recruiting efforts across all of the Firm’s US offices.  This position requires a high level of collaboration with attorneys and staff and the ability to work independently and requires good judgment. The incumbent will be highly organized, possess excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) skills; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; a very strong attention to detail; a professional demeanor and possess strong interpersonal skills. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support for new and ongoing diversity, equity and inclusion programs and initiatives related to recruiting talent of diverse backgrounds
  • Maintains relationships with students, lawyers and external groups to exchange information and to plan events
  • Coordinates the sponsorship requests for affinity student groups at various law schools
  • Plans, coordinates and/or implements affinity student group events and activities
  • Maintains current contact and other information concerning 1L students of diverse backgrounds introduced to the firm through law school affinity group events or other firm programs or initiatives (e.g., Firm’s 1L Summer Diversity Mentoring Program)
  • Attends designated internal and external DEI-related recruiting events; coordinates registration, name tags, contact sheets, marketing materials and other logistics
  • Coordinates the registration process for job fairs firmwide conducted for students of diverse backgrounds
  • Manages 2L Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship application process firmwide
  • Coordinates 1L Summer Diversity Mentoring Program and Other Pipeline Programs
  • Works with Diversity & Inclusion Department to plan affinity group sponsored events for the summer associate program
  • Assists with generating reports and analyzing metrics for various DEI-related recruiting programs and initiatives
  • Acts as Liaison between Legal Recruiting and Diversity & Inclusion Departments firmwide
  • Ability to travel, as needed
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by the Legal Recruiting and Diversity & Inclusion Departments

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred

  • A minimum of two years of experience, preferably in law firm or other professional services environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$75,000.00, dependent on experience and location
