Recruitment Manager

Position Overview
The Recruitment Manager works with the firmwide Recruitment team, the local office Hiring Partner(s), and Talent/Diversity Leads to advance the recruitment goals of the firm for both entry-level and lateral hires. Additionally, the Recruitment Manager manages all phases of the recruiting lifecycle for entry-level candidates and laterals for the office(s) they support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Entry-Level Recruitment
- Support firm’s strategies and coordinate efforts for attracting and hiring summer associates through the resume review process, student outreach efforts, on-campus, virtual, and in-house interviewing, candidate evaluation, and offer decision-making process
- Coordinate development and advancement opportunities for summer associates through effective integration, training, mentoring, career development, pro bono, experiential learning, and other development initiatives
- Organize and execute recruitment and summer associate events and activities for the local office(s)
Lateral Recruitment
- Work directly with the Lateral Recruitment and Attorney Development teams to proactively identify lateral associate needs
- Build strong relationships with trusted legal recruiters in relevant markets
- Consider and suggest creative approaches to lateral recruiting to distinguish V&E from competitors
- Manage regional lateral associate recruitment efforts, including reviewing applications, responding to legal recruiters, scheduling lateral candidate interviews, processing diligence paperwork, drafting offer approval emails and offer letters, maintaining candidate statuses in the applicant tracking system (ViRecruit), and keeping Lateral Recruitment team and relevant partners updated on the status of candidates
- Partner with the Attorney Development team to provide a smooth transition between recruitment and onboarding/integration as it relates to lateral associates
General Recruitment
- Collaborate with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team to advance their goals with respect to recruitment of diverse entry-level and lateral candidates
- Prepare and maintain reports, as necessary, to carry out the recruitment functions of Talent Management
- Manage assigned budgets to control costs and use resources efficiently
- Carefully record and maintain the integrity of candidate data & statuses for all lateral and entry-level candidates, and maintain accurate reporting and statistics to share with firm leadership
Law School Engagement & Student Outreach
- Manage law school engagement efforts at assigned law schools, including registering for on-campus interview programs, job fairs, and events
- Suggest new and innovative ways to strengthen ties with key schools and student groups
- Manage law school donation requests and on-campus recruiting event expenses
- Partner with the Events Department on large-scale recruiting events that require logistics support
- Coordinate strategy and execution of outreach events for select law schools
- Support social media campaigns targeting law students
Minimum Qualification
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field required
Experience: Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in a law firm or similar environment; recruitment experience preferred.
Special Knowledge: Hiring practices and associated laws and regulations
Technical Skills: Knowledge of Firm computer software; experience with recruiting management systems preferred

Working Conditions
- Ability to travel occasionally and work late hours

Salary: $115,000.00-$133,000.00, dependent on experience and location
