Legal Sourcing Specialist

Washington, D.C., New York, or Boston

Premier, global, law firm seeks to add a self‐motivated Legal Sourcing Specialist to join its global legal recruitment team. The Specialist can be resident in either Washington, DC, New York, or Boston. In this role, the Specialist will be responsible for working alongside the Legal Recruitment Manager to develop a proactive recruitment strategy.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well independently, across multi‐disciplinary teams, in person and/or remotely. The candidate must be a determined problem solver, have strong project management skills and possess exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. The legal recruitment department is comprised of business professionals who are detail‐oriented, with an ability to multitask in a fast‐paced environment and maintain superior customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

The Specialist must be flexible to work overtime as needed, especially during periods of increased activity such as summer program and law student recruiting. Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision. Some travel may also be required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creatively identify, attract and engage targeted candidates using a multi‐pronged approach.
  • Develop marketing campaigns and leverage professional and social networks.
  • Support the firmwide full‐cycle recruitment process. Resulting in a positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate with Legal Recruitment Manager and practice group leaders to develop and manage passive prospect list.
  • Execute upon needs and strategic objectives within varying practice groups.
  • Establish and build relationships with internal stakeholders, external recruiters, advisors and candidates.
  • Maintain departmental statistics on historical candidate data. Analyze metrics for patterns.
  • Assist in managing the intake process, the electronic filing of resumes, fee agreements, and other important department documents.
  • Coordinate with DEI department on advancing diversity hiring.
  • Research industry trends, providing up‐to‐date insights. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3‐5 years’ experience recruiting, sourcing, researching or in a sales function
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), particularly viDesktop or LawCruit
  • Knowledgeable about recruitment marketing, including but not limited to online sourcing (LinkedIn, etc.)

 

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00-$85,000.00, dependent on experience
