Summary
The Professional Staff Learning and Development Assistant will support the Learning and Development team on all administrative aspects of the department, and contribute to the training opportunities at the Firm to ensure professional staff are equipped with skills to excel.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, organization and execution of New Hire events, Curriculum and other All-Hands trainings, including sending out invitations, reminders and surveys, tracking attendance.
- Support the planning and execution of Firm-wide trainings, such as mandatory Respectful Workplace compliance training, Risk programming and other ad-hoc programs
- Liaise with other Firm departments (e.g., catering, facilities, audio/video, IT) to schedule, plan and execute pre- and post-program logistics for both live in-person and online programming.
- Support the Professional Staff Learning and Development Manager, other team personnel and internal subject matter experts in preparing training program materials, and ensure that they are kept updated on the Firm’s online resources.
- Support the Professional Staff Learning and Development Manager, other team personnel in resource discovery and the creation of content for department and individual professional development experiences such as Quick Tips, Skill Bursts and new initiatives
- Track professional staff developmental needs, liaising with department leadership and individuals across the Firm to ensure that training programs are informed by program feedback, Professional Staff HR meetings, and coaching meetings
- Publicize the Firm’s training resources and improve information-sharing among global offices.
- Liaise with training contacts in other offices for multi-office programs and events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment preferred.
- Strong events coordination and organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, client service, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Exercises good judgment, has excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail.
- Able to work independently, plan ahead, push projects forward and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Micron CE Manager and hosting Zoom events a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Zoom.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000-$65,000
