Coordinator, Legal Recruiting Events & Training
Summary
The coordinator will work closely with the Legal Recruiting, Legal Training, and Diversity Management Department—all part of the Firm’s Legal Talent Office—to coordinate lawyer trainings and academies; recruiting and summer associate events; and DEI events and other related programming.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate legal training programs, including liaising with partners in charge, coordinating with internal departments (e.g., Reception, Media, etc.), tracking RSVPs, flagging issues as appropriate (e.g., cancellations, tech issues, etc.) and providing high-touch service to all participants to ensure a smooth experience from start to finish.
Coordinate and execute event logistics for the Legal Talent Office, including site selection, menu selection, design of invitation, RSVPs, gifts, list management, onsite staffing, transportation, and follow-up.
Provide on-site assistance and troubleshooting at events and programs.
Conduct post-event and program analyses and follow-up and make recommendations for future events and programs through a written report.
Research site venues and vendors, maintain venue/vendor files and contact details.
Qualifications
Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to confidently work with all levels of lawyers and senior management.
Energetic, detailed person with a professional service-oriented demeanor.
Ability to work effectively with lawyers, staff, and vendors at all professional levels to implement successful programs.
Ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines and respond well to change.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required. 2-3 years of experience in a professional environment preferred. Must be available to work overtime evenings (and occasionally on a weekend evening) to staff programs as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000-$90,000, dependent on experience
