Summary
As Content Marketing Communications Manager, you will help expand brand reach and visibility for the firm’s practices, industries and attorneys through innovative content.
This role will focus on managing the development of content—including thought leadership, promotional content, online and email marketing, video and other formats—for our key audiences. The ideal candidate for this role is a creative writer, strong editor and efficient project manager who thrives in a collaborative environment. The goal is not merely to maintain the status quo, but to improve the quality, quantity and measurable success of firm’s content initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop thought leadership content from idea through execution, including in key practice and industry areas, demonstrating the firm’s depth and breadth of expertise
- Oversee multimedia, including the firm’s video program
- Experiment with new content types and formats to more effectively reach the audience, and find new audiences
- Define and use key metrics to judge success of content and continually refine the content strategy
- Manage outside freelance/outside resources to expand the quantity and quality of content initiatives and grow a strong bench of reliable and versatile content creators
- Collaborate with content, marketing and business development, research/knowledge management and other teams on strategy and execution of content initiatives
- Establish/maintain brand guidelines for voice and tone
- Manage the editorial calendar with an eye toward cadence and diversity of format and theme to maximize effectiveness
- Identify opportunities to repurpose and repackage content to maximize reach and engagement
- Provide assistance to content and marketing teams as needed
Requirements
- A degree in journalism, communications or related field
- 5+ years in journalism or related field
- 5+ years content marketing in a law or professional services firm
- Excellent writing and editing skills (including relentless copy editing skills), across a wide range of content types: Long articles/reports, blog posts, social media, website, emails, etc.
- Proven ability to quickly turn new topics and expert interviews into smart, authoritative, persuasive copy
- Experience collaborating with and presenting to senior executives/attorneys
- Experience using metrics to define and measure success of content initiatives
- Familiarity with content management systems and measurement tools such as Google Analytics
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $135,000.00-$145,000.00, dependent on experience
