Senior Business Development Analyst, Corporate

Summary

The Senior Business Development Analyst, Corporate will work closely with full the Corporate Business Development Team (M&A, Capital Markets, Real Estate) and report into the Senior Business Development Manager(s) (Corporate) to develop, execute and promote marketing and business development programs. Key objectives are to generate revenue through a focused and coordinated approach to business development activities, including pitching and profile-raising activities. The position will act as a central point of contact for the Corporate Business Development Team’s administrative activities, including the maintenance of deal lists, lawyer bios and pitch tracking activities. This position will also coordinate closely with international colleagues and other marketing team members on global cross-selling efforts, including support for client teams, industry groups and other firm-wide Business Development efforts and initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Assist with the preparation of pitches, proposals and other marketing collateral (PowerPoint and Word)
  • Monitor deal data and update relevant databases and collateral
  • Assist with the preparation of legal directories and other rankings and surveys (Chambers, Legal500, Law360)
  • Ensuring that all information is kept up to date across a variety of databases and documents (Foundation, deal lists, lawyer bios, among others)
  • Research and compile targeted reports on markets, clients, competitors and internal financial analysis
  • Draft website and social media copy pertaining to lawyer thought leadership
  • Preparing all relevant directory submissions; scheduling interview calls; preparing specific talking points; identifying and tracking practice specific awards / submissions

Event Management

  • Assist with events and sponsorship opportunities, including event execution, post-event follow-up and tracking lead generation

Client Relationship Management

  • Coordinating contact and activity information input into InterAction and other internal and external relationship management tools

PR/Communications

  • Coordinating with the PR/Communications team to identify media opportunities, including speaking and by-lined articles; facilitating publication of articles and other writings

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish alignment between the expectations and strategies of different stakeholder groups
  • Superior ability to prioritize and manage multiple, concurrent projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of InterAction a plus
  • Knowledge of Foundation a plus 

Education & Experience

  • 2-4 years in progressively responsible business development roles in legal marketing or other professional services firms
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Experience producing pitches, legal directory submissions and the full range of legal marketing and business development services
  • Experience working in an international environment and across time zones preferred

Physical Activity/Other Miscellaneous

  • Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours as needed
  • Ability to commute to and work standard work business hours in the office on a daily basis

 

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00-$75,000.00, dependent on experience
